What records can I access? In Sauk County, the index of real estate documents recorded and document images beginning on January 1, 1987 are available.

What are the fees to use LandShark? The tract information is available at no cost. When you view an image, the cost is the statutory fee of $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page.

Will I need to sign an agreement? No. However, you will be required to set up an escrow account. Please contact the Sauk County Register of Deeds.

You may search grantor/grantee on LandShark from 1975 to the present. Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) are available online from 1962 to the present.  When searching for CSMs, you will need to change the start date to 1962. 

To view a scanned version of the index books kept in the Register of Deeds
 check our Grantor/Grantee archive
. Book entries will range from the mid 1800s until late 1986. Once you find a document from the book, you may access from LandShark by entering the document number.
